| Post subject: | Revolution vs Adventure |
OK. I'm perplexed. Why would anyone get the Revolution instead of the Adventure? As far as I can see, they weigh the same, their payloads are the same, but, the adventure should be faster, more seaworthy, and with the available daggerboard, sails better. Being shorter, the Revolution probably maneuvers better, and would be a little easier to load and unload. What else am I missing here? |

Well, after having asked various similar questions, I think the Revolution's seat is higher up, so you can stay dryer. This is a big factor for me, since I live in Alaska, and I wasnt to stay as dry as possible. I'm about 80% sure I'm going to buy the Revo., vs. the Outback, vs. the Adventure. |

The seating position of the Adventure is lower, with your legs and feet higher in the air on the pedals. The Revo has a higher seating position with more upright stance. The Revo rides up and over incoming waves a little better, while the Adventure tends to "wave pierce". The Revo has more freeboard (higher sides), while on the Adventure side waves tend to soak the rider. Ease of transport is another issue for many. They are both great kayaks... different strokes for different folks. |
