Improved? Definitely! But mebbe not so much, depending on your size and weight. For several years now, there has been a pretty constant stream of questions online about whether the Outback or the Sport are the best for certain-sized individuals? Up until this year my standard answer has been that the OB, because of its deep keel and wide lateral sponsons, is best for folks that weigh (including gear) over about 200 lbs and are over about 6 feet in height. Without this amount of weight, the OB just does not sit deeply enough in the water for its lateral sponsons to be well supported by the drink. Apalach,
Thanks for the great comparison! Wait till you try both kayaks on the water.
You will be impressed! If you are a mid to small size and don't haul everything but the kitchen sink with you every time you go out fishing, then you will love the Revolution. I fall into the other category. 6' 1" 250 lbs. I haul
a bait tank, 4 ea 7 ft rods with conventional reels, lots of tackle, gaff, net, water, fishfinder with battery, launch wheels, etc etc etc. There is no way a Revolution could work for a "tackle ho" like me. The 07 Outback is definitely will though. I'm looking forward to a lot of trolling and beer drinking.
It is possible to do both with that awesome Mirage drive! Looking forward to your on the water reviews!

Robert
