Truly sad. Fishing for bait with feet in water and he loses his foot to a shark .. so so sad. Prime example of why not to dangle limbs overboard especially when fishing and landing a bleeding distressed fish. I have yet to understand why anyone would pull a bloody, distressed fish up their leg in the water to land it. Guess it is only a matter of time till something happens. At a local kayak fishing tournament a participant caught on video a hammerhead shark that devoured a large king fish right to the gills as he was pulling it up onto his kayak. Now image if his leg was in the way. Scary thought huh? Be careful and use common sense. Revo |

Very sad that we lost a fellow angler. On the topic of dangling feet in the water, I don't do it while hauling in fish, but sometimes when the Revo11 gets tippy I throw a leg over each side of the yak to stabilize myself (especially when digging into the forward hatch). I will now keep this behavior to a minimum. |
