Happy holidays to all the gang here! I've posted before about my now ex-Revo13 and my attempted seat mods, and sold the 3yr boat recently. Was just ready for a break, and sold while the value was still very good. Would like to ask if there is anything forthcoming or in the works from Hobie regarding offering a ProAngler or Jackson or Native type suspended mesh seat for some of the other mirage drive boats? I'm considering buying a Native Slayer paddleboat. The ProAngler is just too much boat for my uses. Before I get back into a paddler, I want to make sure Hobie is not working on something on the seating for Revos, Outbacks, etc. Thanks much! Mark |

Wow. I can't imagine going from peddling back to paddling. That aside though, I'd be worried about losing manueverability and the tipsy effect of a lifted seat. |

Sounds to me like the PA-12 is "just the right size" for your needs ![]() And you get the killer seat! |

With all the major mfg's offering some sort of raised seat, you can bet that Hobie is trying to find a similar solution for the Outback and the Revolution. It's just "when" they will be offering ![]() |

When they do introduce the new seating, there will be lots of used PA's for sale in the classifieds ![]() |

islandspeed2001....in one word, NOT! I sold my 2010 Outback and bought a 2013 PA-14 last year and have not looked back.......the Outback was a very good kayak for fishing, but IMHO the PA-14 is a superior fishing craft. The End ![]() |

It's just "when" they will be offering ![]() I have to agree with this ^^... I do hope it's the case. Today I test drove a 13'Slayer Propel, followed by the 14.5 paddle Slayer. Not here to post those details, other than to say I still prefer the Mirage drive with shallow water feathering. BUT I'd prob buy the Propel because of the seat. One plus point for Propel reverse, one minus point for shallow issues. I much prefer the Mirage drive with much less leg movement. For fishing. All said I'll prob wait a bit to make sure Hobie doesn't surprise us with seating. C'mon Hobie...give us an Outback/Revo type cartop hull with raised mesh seating! ![]() .... that new Native Slayer but with a Mirage drive.. Oh man that would be killer! Ha |
