I am considering the purchase of a Hobie Pro-Angler and was wondering if anyone has advice on which might be preferable to purchase for use on a private lake. A local dealer liked the Pro Angler 12 because of ease in handling. |

For the $100 difference in price, the IMHO the PA-14 wins hands down......the fully rigged weight difference is 18 pounds. |

If your only concern in on the water performance than go with the 14'. If you have to do a lot of transporting/portage by cart or carrying to get to this lake than you will want to consider the 12'. |

I just bought a 12 and couldn't be happier. I elected the 12 for the weight savings over the 14. All that being said, I've never handled our fished from a 14. The 12 seems plenty big enough to me and is very stable. I can stand in it comfortably and I am 6' 220lbs. On top of that, I can slide it in the back of my truck and don't need a bed extender. |

The reasons you are happy with your new PA-12 is why Hobie decided to make the shorter version.....Enjoy! |
