Any recommendations on what type of Kayak Carrier best suits the Revo 13? Looking at the Malone Seawings or J style cradle to attach to load bar on my Malone Trailer. Will these Carriers cause damage to the Hull? Or is it best to transport upside down directly to trailer crossbars.

Thanks

Aggie,

I use the Yakima Land Shark saddles. Probably the best saddles for the buck. They are around 80.00 for a set of 4 and can be used with several different styles of mighty mounts. I carry two revolution 13 rooftop on my Xterra on 65" Thule bars and towers. The revolutions sit perfectly in the with no shift or sway. Great for kayaks with keels too.

If you deck isn't full of a bunch of stuff, nothing beats the simplicity and security of putting it directly upside down on the load bars.

Or better yet, upside down on padded load bars. Here are the kayak carriers I'm using. Oak 1" x 4" sealed with spar varnish, padded with closed cell foam, covered with cordura. With a pipe base in the center of each carrier for stacker poles made out of pipe padded with foam. I've been using versions of these carriers for about 25 years.
