Post subject: | Hobie Kayak Boat Lift |
My wife and I recently acquired a Lake Cottage with a concrete sea wall. I am able to use the kayak wheels to help lower my Oasis down a small hill and then down the wall into the water This is kind of a hassle every time I to use my Kayak. Has anyone ever used a jet ski boat lift? They look like they have runners about 6 foot in length and and look to be about the right width. They have a wheel and lift mechanism which would lift the kayak out of the water. Thanks for your input. |

I keep two of my Kayaks on a boat lift, which is similar to the jet ski lift you are planning to use, without any problems, and it is very convenient. I keep a TI on the special TI cradles on one side of the lift. I have not had any hull deformity with over 2 years of use. I keep a Sport directly on the 2 runners or bunks that the Waverunner rests on. In fact my bunks are long enough that I keep a Waverunner at one end of the bunks and the Sport at the other end of the bunks. I also, have not had any hull deformity with the Sport. I should mention, the hull of the Sport is flatter than the Oasis. I do have an Oasis that I plan to put on the boat lift this week and I will let you know if I have any problems. |
