Just picked up a 2014 Oasis from a dealer. It is stamped Demo, and has seen some use; I wanted a 2015 but this was significantly less money.

Got it out on the water for the first time today and am very happy with my choice so far. It did well solo, and the Mirage drive is everything I'd hoped it would be. Eventually I may get a Revo but for now I need the extra seat for my wife and 2 year old.

I just wanted to say that this forum has already been very helpful! I look forward to posting more pics from future trips to larger lakes, intracoastal waterway fishing, and ocean surf launches!

Great choice of boat - same as mine even down to the colour.... you won't be disappointed. Oh, and... welcome to the club :-)

Awesome! You're gonna love it. I'm sure the wife will too. My husband got an Outback and made me try it. 5 days later, I got a Sport. We take our 4 yr old out a couple time on them, but he will get his own kayak this summer. (Not a hobie, but a cheap little starter kayak.)

Good choice. I too have an Oasis. My wife and I go out, I go out with buddies, and I take her solo.
When I go solo, the seat I choose depends on my plans for the day. If I plan to sail, I will sit in the rear seat and add ballast in the bow. I have been using two bags of sand (I'm 6'3"/225 lbs). If I'm just pedaling, I'm in the front seat with no ballast.
Experiment around and enjoy your boat.
