Post subject:  Outback on PWC trailer

We have a Pro Angler 14 and an Outback. Recently purchased a double PWC trailer. From the blogs I have seen that the Pro Angler 14 rides on PVC and have viewed very good instructions on how to do that. My question is can I put the Outback on PVC for transport and storage or does it have to be upside down on the rails? Any advice appreciated.

I'd think PVC would work fine, if you can get it raised up enough for the bulge of the center portion of the hull. I carry my Outback on a set of Yakima Mako saddles.

I carried my 2010 Outback on my Hobie Trailex trailer, using 2 7/8" OD Schedule 40 PVC parallel pipes prior to buying my 2013 PA-14.
There is a slight difference in the PVC spacing....it worked "just fine".......I forget now what the spacing was....

Finally finished our trailer. Both the outback and pro angler on PVC. Tried it out last week at the lake. Both kayaks came off on on easily. So much easier than putting them on the truck rack.

Thank you for posting.

I took the plunge and added PVC pipe to my roof rack. Flipping the kayak over cost more time on the load and unload. Now I can push the boat on the PVC the same way I put the boat on top of the car.. This orientation will let me add a rail to the top of the boat more easily.
