I presume this has been discussed before, and I am not trying to stir the pot. I would just like an official answer as to why Hobie does not sell just the hull with or w/o fittings, hatches, etc.. Unless it is for a warranty replacement or expired warranty situation. I am sure there are people like me who would want to upgrade hulls and drives a little at a time and don't need extra mirage drives, paddles, or seats. Thanks in advance! |

We only stock complete kayak packages in our warehouse. In the case of a hull only order, dealers can order one. We remove the drive and seats and set a discount for those items (not the retail value of a drive or seat when purchased from the parts catalog). We don't advertise it and encourage dealers to simply do the parts removal / credit from their own stock. They can then sell drives and seats to someone else. |
