I had a rechargeable handheld 1,000,000+ candlepower spotlight back in the day and it was great. It was perfect for navigating waters at night time as it lit up the water and shoreline incredibly well. Anyways, I am looking for something similar to put on my kayak when I am out past sunset. Any recommendations? Thanks! |

Almost all states require an all around white light on boats after dark but for spotting I use a Brinkman Q Beam rechargeable. About 1/2 mile of white light. |

There are some LED rechagables on the market now that have a lot better battery life. I use one for duck hunting and it has worked well for several years. It's just not waterproof bot I know that I have seen them in some of the stores. |

I have the west marine led (waterproof) and it is a great little light with powerfull beam and gets top reviews and I'd buy it again. I also have the stanley (walmart sells for around $50) - it is not waterproof and not as easy to use with a wierd on/off beam adjuster switch/knob, but a good deal for $50. Both are small and powerfull |
