I was out this weekend in my '15 Outback and still marvel at how much more comfortable the seat is over its predecessor. Unfortunately, as any first year product that is released, it has it's bugs.

This thing squeaks like a %#£?@&$! Different seats positions will make the problem worse than others, but at the end of the day.....this thing will not shut up!

I never had this problem in my PAs. This probably has something to do with the metal frame vs. the composite.

So what's the fix? Talcum powder....some sort of spray lubricant?

Matt? Suggestions? PLEASE!

Much thanks!

Use a liberal amount of silicone spray lubricant on the seat where it goes over the metal frame and a lesser amount on the rest of the mesh.....wait a couple of hours and use an old towel or t-shirt to rub/wipe off silicone on the surface where you sit.....I use the non-drying silicone spray on the seat of my PA-14 and it will last the whole summer season.

There is no metal frame on the Vantage CT seat, it's all composite. I was worried about using an oil based spray on it.

Agree about not using an petrochemical oil on the seat....silicone is a safe lubricant to use on the mesh and frame....

Use some pledge furniture polish between the fabric and the frame (especially the part the goes over the top of the back - that's what we found stops the squeaking instantly.)
