Post subject: | Cell phone & Bluetooth question? |
I am currently using my cell phone to communicate with my other kayaking buddies while we are on the water. I keep my phone in a zip lock bag in the hold right in front of the seat. Often by the time I get the phone out to answer, it has already gone to voice mail. I have a small ear plug type bluetooth I use at home and while driving and was wondering if there is a water resistant device that I could where around my neck to make it easier to answer an incoming call and of course talk hands free? When I search online I find water resistant Bluetooth devices, but they all seem to do focus on playing music rather than cell phone use. I am not interested at all in listening to music while out on the kayak as the quiet solitude with nature is my goal. Any and all suggestions for a bluetooth device that would fit my needs while not breaking the bank are appreciated. Thanks for your help. Dan in Cape Coral Florida |

Search for IPX6 or IPX7 bluetooth headphones/headsets. Amazon has several. The IP Codes descriptors can be found here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IP_Code While they may emphasize listening to music, nearly all have the ability to place and receive calls (i.e. a microphone). Good luck! |
