As a resident and fisherman in South Louisiana i want to welcome the Hobie World championship to Leeville La, in Dec 2016. There are 3-4 restaurants and 3 bait shops in leeville. 100s of square miles of great marsh and open water fishing. there is 1 hotel ( boudreauxs) and a few cabins at top water landing. plenty of hotels in Grand isle . 20 - 25 min away. We are grateful that Hobie chose Leeville for the championship and ask that If there is anything we can do to make your stay better please post up here If you have questions about the area please ask here. There is no way that i can tell you anymore than areas . We had no winter this year and the trout and reds stayed in an early spring / late fall pattern. They never went deep.
