Just upgraded my wife's Outback with an Elite Seat 3.0. The seat frame was wider then the place to install it so I had to cut some of the frame down to get it to fit, but it is in a works great. The best thing is she loves it. We are going out Saturday to try it out. I have attached a few pictures of the MOD. The rubber brackets on the back were bought from Thefirestore.com they are called QUICK FIST MINI CLAMP. They were very easy to install. I used all stainless steel screws I bought at Lowes. The clamps on the front of the seat are just 1 inch electrical conduit brackets also bought at Lowes. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() If anyone wants more detailed info or pictures just let me know and I can post more. |

Sorry, but I have to ask. Why did you use the mini Fist clamps on the back that imply that you can remove the seat if necessary but use the electrical conduit clamps on the front that are not quick release? That looks like a workable seat based on how you shaved the frame down, but I might have figured out a way to use those rubber Fist Clamps or something similar to secure the seat and still allow you to easily remove it for cleaning the area around the seat. Seat looks very comfortable! |

If I was going to put a new seat in an Outback Pre-Vantage, it would be an Attwood if your going to be that high. Much cleaner, no drilling and you can still sit side saddle. |
