I have an eVolve on order now for 6 weeks with projected shipping "in August". A look at several online Hobie retailers shows almost all Out Of Stock / Back Ordered. Which raises these questions: 1. Has demand always exceeded supply such that backorder is common? 2. Has there been a significant recent increase in demand beyond production capacity that has now limited availability? 3. Has production temporarily ceased or slowed to address a defect, quality concern, or minor improvements? 4. Is production halted while being retooled for a new eVolve version? (I would think if this were the case a splash would have been made at ICAST.) 5. Is anyone aware of any upcoming eVolve changes? I'm not asking folks to let me know who has eVolves in stock as I like my retailer and don't mind waiting a couple more weeks. I am just curious the dynamics behind the limited availability at present and do realize there may not be anyone on this forum with the answer. Plus I sure would hate to finally get mine and have the eVolve 3 announced the next day but that is how it goes... Peter |

Nothing new with the eVolve...A materials sourcing issue put these on back order, but we'll be shipping the back ordered ones out within the next week. |
