A week ago I received my new kayak, hobie pro angler 14. The first time I went into the ocean, entered the kayak over 10 gallons of water Through the covers on the front of the kayak. Does anyone know the problem? It seems like a design problem of the kayak. Really strange, Kayak priced at US $ 5000 does not provide a proper safety. The company must provide a safe solution to such a problem. |

In the ocean? Through the surf? The hatch is not a water tight system for punching through (bow under water) waves, so what were the conditions? There are hatch latches that can be added for use in more extreme conditions. Some discussion of the issue and a post about the latch here:http://www.hobiecat.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=78&t=58280 |
