The local dealer is look at giving current buyers a free drive upgrade when they become available. Apart from the 180 drive, are there any differences between 2016 vs 2017 Revolution 13 ? |

Replaces standard mesh pockets. Frame and fasteners not included. Use original frame and fasteners to install. 78561001 MAP POCKET MESH MOLDED HOOKLES |

Thats a cheap easy replacement for older models, works well as long as you dont keep sharp knives in the pockets as it cuts easily (repaired easily with super glue). XL padeyes likewise easy upgrade. |

I would like to revisit this question as I believe that there are other upgrades to the 2017 model, I'm told the 2017 has a latch of some kind for the drive pulleys (FWD/REV). Now that the 2017's are more readably available maybe someone can tell for sure all the differences in the hull and rigging. In addition, my 2016 did not come with a drive well plug, is that normal? |

No that is not normal. The aftermarket plug you can order is universal, but all hobie hulls have different depths hence a revo 16 plug is shallower than say an outback plug. There are a lot of these gathering dust in garages, unless you are in the habit of regular paddling a mirage kayak it is unlikely you will ever use it. |
