2016 Outback, seat reclined but won't return to an upright position.....HELP!!!!!
Can't find a schematic or video showing how to repair this issue. Saw one post on here where the person was able to repair but no info on what the issue was or how it was repaired. Any help will be greatly appreciated since my dealer is over an hour away.

Funny that you are posting this.
Just fixed mine last night.
The problem is the bungee has become unattached. Remove the 8 small screws, and remove the cover plate. The pictures show how the bungee is attached. Check the cable spring as well, mine was broken. Hope this helps.

Broke down and took the seat to my dealer for repair, still under warranty, he said he has never seen this issue before. Did notice that there is no "easy" way to reattach the bungee without taking the mechanism apart. He stated he would contact Hobie about this repair. Will post once I get the seat back. It does suck not having my yak....miss it already.
Stay safe.
