Post subject:  Carrying a yak on top of a 1995 Jeep Wrangler YJ.
Anyone have recommendations/ideas on roof rack setups for carrying your kayak on a YJ Jeep Wrangler 1985-1996. Rack system that mounts to Jeep body or has anyone used a rack mounted directly to the Jeep's Hardtop? Just getting started with kayak fishing.

I've not experience with your car, but I think depend on wich type ok kayak you have.

I have a JKU (2016) with a hard top and soft top. For the hard top, I went with the Teraflex Nebo roof rack through Quadratec.

Not the cheapest but can carry over 200 lbs dynamic load. Looks like its factory installed.

Not sure yet what I plan on doing for the hot summer months when I have the hard top removed and the soft top installed.
