| Post subject: | Up/down rudder T-handle how to replace |
T-handle (used to pull up rudder) cracked off a piece, so wondering if its "simple" to replace and how to do it? Its for a 2018 Revolution under warranty, but handle is only $5 so if its really simple (5 minutes) I will just do myself. I took a quick glance but could not tell exactly how to un-attach and re-attach the rudder line. |

I should have said it looks like line holds in with a simple knot at the end so just push the line out - unkot it (make sure it does not slip back in hull) - slip new handle on - retie knot.... just wanted to be sure thats all there is? |

Yes, pull the handle / line out and clamp or cleat. Pop the handle cap off, push the knot out and cut or untie. Install new handle and tie a new knot. Cap... unclamp/cleat to retract line. Done. |
