I have a Mirage Tandem that was compromised while in storage. Houston heat and a fall caused the carriage to tear out of hull mounts and causing one heck of a hole in the plastic hull. Is there an inexpensive repair? Anyone in the Houston or Austin area that does these. Super glue is out unless in 5 gal size. Tyanks all, GG |

A photo would help greatly. Plastic weld might be the answer, depending on the extent of the damage. Hobie offers something called a KC Plastic Welder Pro, but again photos will help the community and Hobie answer with potential solutions: Hobie part # 72097001 KC WELDER PRO WITH ROD STOCK MSRP US$ 70.99 |

I ordered the Hobie Pro welder with rods and mesh. I will post photo when I return to property. The damage is extensive and I will keep the forum posted on progress or lack there, of. The unit is at my vineyard near Austin, TX. Thanks, GG |

I am in the process of repairing a large crack. This will be an iterative process. I am looking for the proper way to clean the tip on the welder after each use. Can anyone help? |

Use Scotchbrite to clean the fried plastic off the welder tip. |
