I know someone selling a 2015 Hobie mirage drive for a really good price. I have a 2009 outback with a v1 drive and the cam lock system. I wouldn't mind having a spare drive....would the newer drive work in my hull? |

Yes. You may have to remove the alignment pins if this drive has them. Instructions here: https://static.hobiecat.com/item_attachments/80010001_80013011_80013001z52.pdf#page=3 Slight chance you would have to file the fairing to fit the well. |

I had the same issue force fitting a newer drive blanking plug in my older 2006 adventure hull, which I believe put extra stress on the well and being one of the factors that caused a hairline crack to develop. |
