Post subject:  Differences in Vantage CT seats?

Were changes made to the Vantage CT seat? I had a 2016 Outback and the seat's two lines that hold up the seat back were connected right up at the front of the seat bottom, in the same way that the Outback is shown on Hobie's website. I am now seeing some models with the Vantage CT have those two lines connected underneath the rubber flap, thus them coming up from the bottom a few inches back, like shown on the Revolution models on Hobie's website. Is this a change across the board or only for some models? The reason I'm asking is that on my Outback those connection points way up front dug into the sides of my legs, but it looks like the different version of the seat with them mounted further back would be more comfortable.

Does that mean that the current seats have the cords from up front or behind the protective rubber flap? Looking at the Outback page and through the different colors you can see that the Payapa (and other colors) have a slightly different set up on the seat compared to the Camo version. The Payapa seat looks like my 2016 Outback's seat where those cords come up through holes up front. The cords on the camo's seat come up from behind the protective rubber flap.

First version of the CT seat it went out to the front - now the seats have the near rearward type mounting. (to work with i series kayaks too)

I show to properly rig it in the quick start video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-uLvP_XparU&t=223s&ab_channel=Hobie

Jbernier, thank you for the clarification! I'm thinking of getting another Outback to go with my PA and I would prefer the cords being further back and this definitely helps. Thanks guys.
