Just wanted to give a quick shout out to Hobie's warranty team. One of the in-hull eyelets that the backrest seat straps attach to on my new Compass broke, as did one of the retaining clips on the strap hooks.
Within a week, I received delivery of two whole new seat straps and two replacement eyelets. Good thing on the straps -- I've read on this forum that there are issues with the strength of these, and that they've been upgraded.
Big props also to Jessica at Cal Canoe & Kayak in Redwood City -- a quick email to her got the ball rolling on this process.
Ready to stick some striper this weekend.
