That seems like at least twice as much as I should need to pay to trailer a <300 pound boat. I know a lot of PA 12 and 14 people modify jet ski trailers, but the 17T looks to be a bit long for those (and I don't weld). Same with the Harbor Freight option, 17T looks too long. What are other options? Thanks Lee! Lee, I was in your shoes (kind-of) not that long ago with a 14' PA and 13' Revo. I also didn't know how to weld. If you go the route of buying a beat up trailer or a fixer-upper off Craigslist etc. then you can make it work and learn to weld on a relatively low budget. Even if you don't want to weld, there are shops that could do some small jobs at a fair price. What I would do is find a trailer that would work for a 14' and then cut the the tongue and extend it as needed (welding and grade 8 bolts). -Roy |
