I use ratchet ropes to get it up there.

I would really like to store my kayaks high up against the ceiling of my garage. One is a lightweight non-Hobie, one is a 2016 Hobie Outback, and the big one is a 2015 Oasis tandem (I think it weights about 125lbs?). Anyhow, Amazon ratings seem mixed, is there a hoist brand or system anyone suggests as having been successful for them? Thank you! |

Thanks Creekstone! I web surfed (I mean "researched") a lot and concluded the Harken Hoist was the best available. I went with the 200lb capacity model since I am lifting up a tandem kayak. I will probably toss the seats on (folded down) and the mirage drives on it as well as the PFDs, so I wanted to make sure the hoist had ample capacity. Now I need to get it installed on the dock ceiling
