I want to add sidekicks to my 2015 Revo. I have seen that some have attached them to YakAttack GearTrac. My question is does anyone know the YakAttack "accessory" that attaches the Hobie Sidekick to the GearTrac? Also is there any reason not to munt this way? |

I've never looked at the AMA Sidekick kit up close but I'm sure you can find a t-bolt that you could replace the existing 4 bolts with. I know toilet bowl bolts turned upside down work great in most gear tracks. They come in either 5/16" or 1/4" in various lengths. Only issue with toilet bowl bolts is they are brass and not stainless. I don't see why it couldn't be done. I would make sure the gear tracks on each side are installed with nuts and bolts and a backing plate on the inside of the hull though. |

I made these plates for my own use and as gifts for friends. The video is with my Outback, but this is also applicable with YakAttack GearTrac on Revo. |

I like the plate idea. But can someone explain to me the purpose of the slot in one side of the plated? Is it necessary to allow the plate the slide and not bind on the track? If so, could you not grind down the tabs a little to provide enough clearance? |

Try on the kayak and it will be clear. The boards are not exactly parallel and you need to be able to compensate for the difference. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Pro |

Well designed. Just make sure you're gear track is installed preferably using bolts with nuts but something other than screws. IMO screws could pull out. |
