I looked at my kayak the other day and could see that because it is stored outside that it could use a good bath. Is there a product that would be recommended that brings some life back? |

I know I'm wondering the same thing. I've used 409 and that does work removing marks and Magic Eraser works even better but both of those faded the deck on my Hobie after using them each just one time. |

Right, which is why I asked as I did not want to apply anything that might do more harm. The neanderthal in me says use the strongest agent in my garage but maybe soap and water with a good brush is in order. |

I found Krud Kutter works well and the use Aerospace 303 protectant over the clean and dry hull to bring back the deep color. |

I also like Krud Cutter. I prefer to follow up with Hobie Protectant -- lasts a little longer than 303, but both are good. BTW, they both make the surface slick, so don't use them anywhere you might stand or grip or you might slide or slip! ![]() |

Guys do you find the Krud Cutter causes any fading in color? |

Thanks. Yep I have used 303 and it does make things slick. I was applying it on the bottom of my kayak but it would slide off my trailer with pvc running boards too fast. First time I put 303 (heavy coat) on the bottom I was unloading my PA14 at the boat ramp and it shot off the trailer, jerked the rope I had tied to my PA out of my hand off it went. ![]() |
