Post subject:  Up rudder line hard to pull

Hobie Revolution 13 pulling down rudder line seems overly tight and makes a noticeable “yawning” sound. I use every day and can get rudder down but am afraid something will break or seize up in future. Any ideas what it could be or what to try (or replace)? Also where is down rudder line supposed to go under the seat area (along the side or in the middle)? I did not want to try adjusting (loosening) ropes on outside back on rudder itself (which I once did on my older Hobie) yet since it seems the problem might be something else as detailed below.

A couple weeks ago it would not go down at all so stopped at dealer who unscrewed pulley inside hull up front and simply sprayed it, worked it and then put back in, saying did not see anything really wrong or broken. Afterwards it worked fine for awhile but now the tightness and yawning sound has returned. At one point I reached in and moved the line around the pulley several times by hand which seemed to work for a couple days. Unsure if its really the pulley or something in the line itself (like its twisted) and working the pulley by hand just temporarily alleviates what is really a problem in the line.
BTW up line and rudder controls lines work fine.

Either the line is twisting around itself or maybe riding up the sheave and jamming against the housing? Letting the line snap back into the hull has been known to cause twists.

Camera in the hull to look at it when this is happening?
