Hey Everyone. I have a Generation 1 Hobie Adventure Fish. The seat has made fishing become unbearable. I had ALL day to fish today and I couldn't make it more than 2.5 hours. It got to the point where I didn't want to go to a really good fishing spot because I was so damn uncomfortable.

I see A LOT of Hobie seat upgrades on the internet but I haven't been able to track one down for the Gen 1 Adventure Fish. Has anyone seen one done? Something on the less costly side. Less than $60 would be nice. i see some good mods out there for $30-50 but I don't want to buy a beach chair, or stadium seat only to find out it doesn't fit.

All replies and leads to an upgrade are welcome. Thank you

p.s. if anyone is interested trading a Revo or Outback or something a little wider than what I have now I am interested. It's in great shape. Located in Southern Westchester, NY.

Try the Backjoy seat. I made 2 cord loops for the folding velcro flaps on the old style seat to loop over and secure it, but it was after this photo was taken in Post #4:

For my 2006 adventure I added one of these mesh lumbar supports permanently attached. Went from the worst kayak seat I have experienced to the best..Lasted years too, and cost hardly anything. Available for only a few 4 from your local asian gift shop importers

For the bottom I just cut a pad out of a gym evo foam roll out mat, these even improve the later vantage mesh seats.

I'm going to add both. Thank you guys. I hope this does the trick. I have a long fishing trip scheduled tomorrow and I'm not sure how I'm going to sit in that seat for 4-5 hours, but I'm going to do my best.
