Hi - I just picked up an old '01 Mirage tandem - it has two square, flat surface mounting plates, ( either side of the transom behind the front seating position ), that look like a factory add on (same rivets). The base is black composite - but its inset with a square stainless steel plate ( 4 rivets) - with a knurled hole in the center that takes a screw ( sorry not sure of the screw size). Looks very much to be an adjustable mount - could be for a rod holder but since there is not other method of identification I don't know what i might mate to. Any help appreciated. Thanks! CKL |

It sounds like the previous owner added it for mounting something......fish finder, rod holder, Sidekick AMA kit or ???? |

Exactly - takes a #10-32 screw ... but I am at a loss as to what "screw down" rod holder etc. it might have been used for - nothing I have come across so far mounts this way . |
