Just curious how strong the mounts are for the track systems. I haven't gotten anything that large while the rod was in the holder, but I am just curious if anyone has had one fail. I'm looking at using one of the scotty track mounts to hold a rod holder, but wondering if it would be better to make a board that spans both tracks on the side and use 4 of the track screws to secure it on there with the normal screw in scotty block like mount |
