Not exactly correct. 3 primaries from Maynards have pooled resources to purchase the Hobie Company. We are not owned by Maynards. Quote: The Hobie Cat Company, a pioneer and market-leader in pedal-drive kayaks, was sold in January to an investment group led by Taso Sofikitis with other senior officials of Detroit-based Maynards Industries The new owners have extensive international business experience (and connections) and have big plans for Hobie.
