Hi there, Hope you are having a great day. I am wondering if I can buy a V2 chain and modify its length with something like a chain breaker to fit V1 drive. I believe I can find a nut that fits the chain assembly in home depot . What do you think? Have a nice day |

I believe the chains are the same length and the cables are different. The shorter chain would limit the rotation of the sprockets I think. |

The shorter chain would limit the rotation of the sprockets I think. the drive I have has a stainless steel sprocket. I am afraid the chain assembly may break. If the chain breaks, it's easy to fix, i can buy stainless steel chain to replace the broken links. But if the cable breaks , it's going to be a big problem. I hope there is a way to modify V2 chain to fit V1 drive. |
