I broke the cable on the chain drive and had to upgrade since they no longer make the older chains available. The new version of the pedal rubs against my kayak on every stroke making a squeaking sound. Not only is the sound annoying, however, I am concerned that it will eventually rub a hole in the kayak. Is there something that can be done? I love my old tandem mirage (I have 2 of them) and have no desire to replace them. They are built like a tank. It still looks like new even though I use it almost every day. Thanks for any advice you can give me. https://i.imgur.com/Cet3ink.mp4 |

Sounds like the spine isn’t centered on the drum shaft or there is a gap between the spine and the drums. Peter |

If not just off-center, maybe apply heat to the areas of contact and force them out.... then cool? You could file a little off the area of the drums that are contacting. |
