Yes I know some people will say it is ugly and why not spend the time and mount the transducer in or under the kayak. However I have heard some talk that the transducer mounted like this gives a better image, less turbulence or something. Has anyone any experience in this area I would be interested to hear https://fr.aliexpress.com/item/10050032 ... -recommend |

CarterClarke wrote: The transducer should be situated aft and close to the central axis. Why is that? |

Seems more related to a powerboat. Not sure the post is from a kayaker... likely a spammer. Too generic. The email pings on an anti-spammer forum as from India. I'll delete the account if they post like that again. |

Totally agree MMiller, soon as I read it sounded like something they read on the internet or something, rather than a considered answer after reading my question. Which is why I asked them to clarify, and notably, they have not. I would say yup, spammer. |
