I decided I wanted to attempt to install a rear hatch on my 2019 outback after watching this Hobie video. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=t7nFX4R1vDM&t=289s. I went ahead and ordered part # 71702001 but when I received the kit the parts were quite different than what is shown in the video. The backing support ring I received was one solid thick ring instead of the split ring shown in the video. Does Hobie still sell the specific kit pictured in this video? Thanks! |

Double-checking with the factory, but I believe you can squeeze the ring a bit oval to slip into the hole. |

Yes, squeeze the backing ring slightly oval to slip it inTo the hull. |
