Just got a Mirage Oasis Tandem. The TRAX wheel frame plastic pieces on the vertical post hit on the inner side of the kayak bottom and not evenly around the bottom of the hole in the kayak. Seems like this could cause localized stress on the bottom. Is this how the Hobie wheel frame is supposed to fit? |

The fit is not great on the Oasis and a few other kayaks. Some have used tennis balls (with holes cut to slip over posts) or a very short section of pool noodle (may need to wrap outside edge with duct tape to keep from splitting or wearing quickly). I used the pool noodle approach for a bit then switched to a Railblaza C-Tug to eliminate having to lift the kayak to get the wheels in or out. Peter |
