Post subject: | Is There a Vantage CTW seat???? |
Hello everyone. I have a new to me 2016 Outback, missing the seat. I did some research, and found that a Vantage CT seat will work. So I went ahead and bought one, but it was 1.5" too wide. Upon further inspection, it says Vantage CT/CTW on the tag, but CT Wide on the UPC located on the bottom. My question is: Is there really a such thing as a CT Wide? Or did the kayak fold like a taco? Thanks everyone |

The 2015-2018 Outbacks (and most rotomolded Mirage kayaks) use the Vantage CT seat, Hobie part 84507821. These are not cheap to replace at around US$ 640-680. The 2019+ Outbacks use the Vantage CT-W seat, Hobie part 84507825. These will not fit earlier Outbacks. Even though they are 1 1/2 inches wider, they seem to be about $100 cheaper. There is a completely different CT seat used only in the i-series inflatables, Hobie part number 84507701. Peter |

Great! Thank you. Although another $100 more. I got the right seat. |
