Post subject:  Best Hobie kayak for paddling/recreational use?

I'm interested in buying a Hobie kayak for recreational use (not fishing). Would be kayaking rivers, lakes and lagoons (no offshore or particularly rough water).

I really like paddle kayaking BUT do have an issue with osteoarthritis such that occasionally, I experience significant pain in my neck/shoulder (think pinched nerve..). As a result, I'm looking to buy a Hobie kayak that is the best of the bunch for paddling. I'd switch to peddling as needed (==>pain).

Don't need the kayak rigged for fishing or a large amount of storage. Hard to find discussion as how to best move forward with the analysis based on internet search (articles or videos). At this point, am assuming the top two picks are the Revolution and Compass. Price is not a determining factor re my decision.

Thanks in advance for replies!

If you have kayaked before, what kayaks did you enjoy paddling? Maybe there is a similar Hobie offering. As an example...

I recently bought a Revolution 13 (my first Hobie/peddle kayak). I was coming from a WS Tarpon 140. The T140 was great. But I wanted to try both peddling and a higher (dryer) seat.

Solo, no fishing, primarily paddling - Look at the Revolution 13 or 11. They will track better and paddle easier than the wider kayaks.

I've not really taken note of the kayak manufacturers I've liked the most. Never owned one, instead have rented quite a few kayaks or used those owned by friends. Overall though, I'm pretty committed to a buying a peddle kayak as I know that I'll continue to have issues with my neck/shoulder as I get older (pinched nerve/cervical radiculopathy). I definitely want to be paddling as much as possible as it provides an opportunity to exercise my upper body and with respect to my legs, I routinely bike at least 25 miles/week. Seems like Revolution might be the best option, Compass coming in 2nd.
