FYI - a 5 qt all purpose plastic container can be easily modified to fit in the hatch and provide maximum dry storage. All I had to do was cut off the container 2 1/2 inches from the bottom, place the top in the hatch (it fits perfect) and slide the cut bottom piece inside the top till it meets the hull, glue in place. Its strong, easily removed and cost $6. |
