Post subject:  Skid plates and epoxy

West Marine advertises a product called G/flex epoxy as being suitable for plastic (and most everything else). I want to attach skid plates, either fiberglas or plastic, to the bow and stern of my AI to prevent chafing.

Has anyone had experience with West Marine G/flex?

In a previous post regarding an internal repair DP8010 was recommended.

Has anyone used this and how has it held up?

We just got our first shipment of the stuff yesterday, so we haven't had a chance to play with it yet. But everything I've read looks promising.
