I'm looking for water proof socks to use in the Oasis in the cooler weather. My feet get really cold. Are there any recommendations out there? SuEllyn |

Try Seal skins, I love them. Need to pull out last years stock and see what we have left. |

I for one would NOT recommend the SealSkinz socks. I had a pair of the SealSkinz Water Blocker socks to match up with my dry bibs for cold water kayak fishing (water temps down to 40). They gave a poor seal (leaky) when new and completely delaminated in less than a dozen uses. I have since switched over to a pair of 7 mm neoprene dive boots and couldn't be happier (Henderson Titanium Hyperstretch - zipperless dive boots). Good in 40 F water and air down to about 30 F. When the air temps hit the 20s my toes still go numb after about 2 hours, but I can warm them up a bit by hanging my feet in the 40 degree water. SealSkinz gloves are the same way, dry when new, but very fragile. Once compromised, they are worse than wearing nothing. |
