I'm thinking of taking on an old H14. The hulls look to be in good condition but I wondered if anyone out there had any thoughts on how I might determine the 'integrity'of the fiberglass. The hulls do not appear to have been covered or stored indoors so I'm guessing they have been out in the sun a lot (I live in Japan where we have lots of sunshine).

Appreciate any advice or suggestions!

the search function of this forum is very useful.

30 years old would make it an '85? That's towards the tail end of the big production years.
I would think you'd be hard pressed to find one newer, but I know nothing of the popularity of Hobies in Japan.

After inspection, let us know what you find.

Where in Japan? I live in Okinawa and have a 14. Not many around!
