Post subject:  Our first Hobie 16's

A year ago my wife tells me she would like to get a Hobie and sail it. This is a old hobby of mine 25 years ago. I said okay like I have with getting a Full size Bronco for her to tool around in. Well nothing about a Hobie or a Bronco for a year Yee Haa. Well a month ago she brought up the Bronco and Hobie again. So i looked around and found a guy selling 2 Hobie 16's with a trailer. Cheaper then a truck. Went and looked at them. I thought we were getting 1 Hobie and a trailer. He told me I could have both and the trailer for $400, I said will you take $300, fully rigged sails and all, Sold. I was in shock when he included the sails too. 1 is a 73' (Blue one) I believe which needs very little hull work, tramp, lines, new sails possibly if the ones he gave us can't be used. The white one needs some work which is not a big deal to me as I have been doing fiberglass and body work most of my life. Got a second trailer for $250 woot woot, and Hobie trax like new for $100 woot woot. I will post progress in time. I will post pics if I can get the up on page.Image

You may want to shop around for good hulls rather than trying to fix your current hulls if the damage you refer to are soft spots.
