Post subject:  Mast Identification

I have a mast that is labeled "Hobie Cat a Coleman Company" with a number of 24720 imprinted on the label and is approximately 313" in length. It's on a Holder 20 I picked up but is obviously not the original mast.

I was wondering if it can be identified as to what it came off of?

Thanks,

Chris Edwards

Hobie Cat purchased Holder in the mid-1980's and manufactured Holder monohulls under both the Holder and Hobie-One name. 313" equates to just over 26 feet, which sounds about the right mast length for a Holder 20. My guess is that it is the correct mast.

Chris, My friend and I picked up a 1987 Holder 20, Hull 273 last spring, it was dormant for 12 years. We sailed it all summer and raced it once. Where are you located and if you need anything specific measured PM me.

Yes everyone says they only made 265 hulls but I can tell you after owning Hobie's for 30+ years I know how to read hull serial numbers.
