The contact cement will not hurt the hulls at all, I put this on my Bravo years ago. Lay it down where you want it and draw a line around with a pencil. When taping it off, go inside the mark, est: 1/16in, that way no glue will show. When you go to install it, use a sheet of wax paper in between the two and slowly pull it out as you align the marks.
I hope to get some video this weekend with my Sony Action cam, it will mark the speed. I also just got a 3 axis gimbel to really show boat movement.
I took Wednesday off and went sailing. We had 5 boats with 11 mph winds. And while I watch the 14T and 3, 18's fly hulls back and forth, I sailed my under powered Tank back and forth following them, wishing I had some Viagra to give my boat, maybe then I could get a hull up.
