I have a 2010 outback, and I had the stern region slip off the hood of my car and fall on the ground. It was not a particularly hard fall, only a few feet, and onto grass, but ever since I feel like I've notice the seams (where the top and the bottom of the hull were joined) sort of separated. Not all the way through, but shifted almost. does this sound possible, or am I just imagining things? |

There is no "seam" or "join". The hulls are molded as one piece. Look at the inside of the hull. What you are seeing is the external mold part line. These can look like a ridge on some models as the molds distort over time, they are not always as smooth a connection as we would like. There is always a visible line that is trimmed when the boat comes out of the mold. Likely you have never noticed this on your boat, but has always looked this way. |
