Post subject:  Trying To Complete My H18

I'm trying to get some finishing pieces for my Hobie 18. I have other catamarans so this has been an on going project but i want to get it on the water. If you have a parts boat, spare parts, or if you know someone who has some stuff I am looking for let me know. Im in college right now so i cant shell out a ridiculous amount of money and I am in no serious need to get this out on the water so lets work something out. Heres my list of needed parts:

Rolling Furler
Full batten set
Black anodized boom
Full rigging set (may want to buy new)
Trampoline
Mainsheet blocks
Set of quick release pins

Thanks in advance,
Ryan

I've got everything you need.

Not sure what you would consider a ridiculous amount of money, but your list is pretty extensive, and some of that stuff isn't cheap.

Where do you live is a pertinent question, some of those items, ( Boom and Battens ) are considered oversize items.

Feel free to contact me off list

I am in Colorado, and there may be someone closer that has what you need and might not cost as much to ship.

I have a Hobie factory white vinyl tramp. Used only a couple of months. 9 out of 10 condition. No rips tears etc. gromets like new!!! $250 delivered to your door. Email for pics if interested. I bought this new then found a new yellow one to match my boat. Jim.

Jim here again. Just checked my parts locker, I have a set of shrouds and bridle wires in good shape no rust, no "pinged/broken" strands black coated I will throw in as a bonus with the tramp if interested

I have purchased the batten set, rigging, and trampoline. I still need the Jib assembly (forstay, furler, and halyard system) and I need the black anodized boom with mainsheet blocks.

I have a "parts" boat and can provide you with a boom with blocks, outhaul, roller furler (upper and lower), bridle for furler lower unit, and forestay. Let me know if you're all set or still need the parts.

You can email me direct at [email protected].

Jeremy,
Just saw your post, thank you for the offer but I picked one up already

My list is complete and I just want to thank everyone for their help. Will post pictures when I put the boat back together.

I am in need of 5 pairs of anchor plate kits... if you have a parts boat with a couple pairs let me know. I cant really afford 5 x $36 at the moment!

Also, I am replacing all lines including halyards and tramp lacing.. Are rope packages such as from salty-dog worth it, or would it be less expensive just to get the ropes on my own? I just seems a bit more convinent to order them in a pre-cut to length package.

Had my first sail today and have a couple questions.

First off I want to switch to the mast step with the 4 rivets. Is that part # 60180011

Is there a longer post for the newer type of mast step, or is it the same post?

The posts are different in the fashion they connect to the crossbar casting. New style is better.

I was thinking that too.

I did the conversion for a friend a few years back, and while I cannot remember exactly what the difference is, I would order the rod along with the casting.

To clarify, I am 99% sure that the posts do not interchange...you will need to order a new post for the 4-hole base.
